Few words of consolation!
Fear not little flock. You shall not fear them: for the LORD your God He shall fight for you.For the battle is the LORD’S! Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: He is your help and shield. The LORD hath been mindful of us: He will bless us.
It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes. The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. And you have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto all these nations because of you; for the LORD your God is He that hath fought for you. They looked unto Him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The Lord is good and stronghold in the day of trouble. Call unto me in the day of thy trouble. I shall deliver thee and thou shalt glorify me. The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them. O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him. Fear not; I am the first and the last. I am He that liveth, and became dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Looking unto Jesus the author who is none other, but captain of Salvation and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Fear not, I am with thee; Blessed golden ray, like a star of glory, lighting up my way! Through the clouds of midnight, This bright promise shone, I will never leave thee, never will leave thee alone. Steps unseen before me, hidden dangers near. Nearer still my Saviour, whispering, “Be of cheer”; joys, like birds of springtime, To my heart have flown, singing all so sweetly, He will not leave me alone. No, never alone; He promised never to leave me, Never to leave me alone. I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Emmanuel! God is with us. I am with you all the days of your life. For the Lord God is a Sun and Shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
Have a blessed weekend.
